Meeting Esme-Rose

On Saturday 19 October 2024, Jezz, Michèle, Nikki and I took a road trip out to Kettering to meet Esme-Rose, our third grandchild. Also to see Kelly and Charlie and their new house. And for an extra super surprise, Jake was there, too.

We all had a fabulous time and a great catchup. Meeting Esme-Rose for the first time ever was so special and perfect. I could’ve cried but stopped myself. She’s absolutely gorgeous. Jake told me in a phone call beforehand, that he wasn’t able to meet up, but he surprised me by being there. Love him. Charlie is so special in our hearts and is so interesting. Nik and I shared the thought that we could sit and listen to him for hours, telling us stories of his time in the army. I admire him a lot. Although the day was super special, it would have been even more perfect if my handsome boy, Ethan was there, too.

And then there’s my angel. Oh my goodness… the pride I have for Kelly is crazy. I love, adore and respect my most beautiful daughter. I’m struggling to put into words just how proud I am.
They had prepared lunch for us which was Vegetable Hot Pot with rice, which was amazing. So nice. Into the afternoon, we had tea and cake and all left around 4pm.
