Others
A collection of other photos that don't fit any other subject or category on other pages.
7 Elmdene
This is the house where we lived in Surbiton. We grew up there with our Mother and Dad until they separated in 1968.
Abercrombie & Fitch cardigan
Not as expensive as I thought it would be. I bought this cardigan to remind me of the Starsky cardi my Grandmother knitted me in the 70's.
Snow in the garden
Taken on 2 February 2009 during the extreme snow storms, this is the view from the back bedroom window at Cambridge Gardens, Wallington.
Barry's lounge view
We went to see Barry Green in his luxury penthouse apartment in Brighton, over looking Duke's Mound and the nudist's beach.
Car on railings
On our way back from Heathrow, we saw this lady, standing next to her car but as I look at this photo, I still can't work out how it happened.
Up-cycling a table
When nobody wanted our old dining table that was too good to throw out, Jezz suddenly decided to saw the legs off, leaving just enough of them to make a coffee table. It worked... genius idea.
Dad's left border
Dad had a clear up of his front paved garden and created these pretty borders. This is when he lived at Durand Close, Carshalton.
Dad's right border
Dad had a clear up of his front paved garden and created these pretty borders. This is when he lived at Durand Close, Carshalton.
New hallway 2009
Jezz and I took the plunge and had the hallway redecorated. Michele's Terry did the wallpapering. This was at Cambridge Gardens, Wallington.
New hallway 2009
We bought some new furniture for the hallway too, white to make appear clean. This was at Cambridge Gardens, Wallington.
Display box
I got this box from IKEA that has a light to show off the crystal items that Jezz buys me from time to time.
My twin turntables
Or double decks... this was the twin decks I used in my room growing up. I also did amateur discos for friends and youth clubs, schools and a street party.
Floppy
Jezz had this fluffy dog made at The Bear Factory. He called him Floppy and I got it with a birth certificate and several changes of clothing, included leather jacket jeans, seen here, but also a chef's outfit and a silk dressing gown.
A cuddly bear from Amanda
This beautiful soft plush velvety touch bear was a Christmas present from my most thoughtful sister who wanted to let me know that she loves... yep... that much.
Flowers from Zoe
Zoe came round and bought some beautiful colourful flowers. This was 10 October 2018.
Lavender Home Grown
I cut some lavender from the large pot in the back garden and placed it in one of our many vases. Stuck on the lounge coffee table and hey... get me! This was done on 1 July 2018.
Roses and Freesias
Jezz bought a bunch of flowers for me on the way home from work on 18 September 2021.
Valentine and Number One
I bought Jezz these roses, a velvet rose and a box of chocolates for Valentine's Day 2020.
Gwen's memorial
In the memorial book at Kingston crematorium, are the tributes of Grandpa, Gran, Dad and this one, Aunty Gwen.
Pandora initials bracelet
My initials WSA with two spacers on a leather bracelet. Part of what was going to be a large Pandora collection.
Mobile handset for front door
After several incidents of security breaches at Cambridge Gardens, I finally convinced the housing association that a locked door was communal entrance and an entry door system. We got one in the end.
Bedside alarm clock and iPhone charger
Kelly bought me this alarm clock with a clever iPhone charger element that when placed on the charger gave a display that completes the clock face on the alarm clock. Brilliant idea.
iPod 160GB
The last device to store my entire music collection, before the days of streaming took off. This iPod from Apple has 160GB of storage space which then, was considered a massive more than enough amount of space. My thought was how far technology had come from the days of only being able to take about 50 12" vinyl singles to a disco and if only I had this kind of gadget back in the 80s.
Jezz's garden
Down the side of the flats where we lived was this piece of land that Jezz had cobbled, filled with pots, plants and flowers.
A kidney stone
I kid you not... I was merrily going about my business, stood over the toilet and suddenly, and painlessly, I heard a chink sound from the toilet. I looked down to see a small golden nugget in the water. My consultant had said that he would like a stone if ever I were to pass one... I did but first had to get it from the toilet. I've put a pound coin next to it to give an idea of size.
New sink
Back at Cambridge Gardens, we have a new stainless steel sink and drainer with a rinsing sink.
New bedroom furniture
Back at the last place, we kitted out the bedroom with the IKEA wardrobes and drawers but never got around to putting the doors on. We've done exactly the same with where we're living now.
Snowman from 2007
This hand made snowman was on the green on the corner of Park Road and Woodmansterne Lane, Banstead.
New sofa bed 2004 - open
Bought from IKEA for the lounge a four seater corner sofa with ottoman. Opened out, it's a double-sized bed.
Swarovski bears with heart
Gorgeous Swarovski bears with pink heart. This was one of the crystal gifts from Jezz.
Swarovski limited edition crystal heart
This beautiful heart has hundreds of crystals down the first half of its back.
My new desk
From IKEA, what looks like a child's bedroom desk... this was an ideal replacement to the plain white table I had (Nov 2021).
Rocks of Love
Jake had created these fabulous rocks of love for Jezz and I. After painting them red, he decorated them with the message I 🖤 U, Grandad Wayne and Nanna Jezz. They're now in pride of place in the back garden on a brick wall.
21:21, 21/01/2021
On the 21st January 2021, at 21:21 hours I took a photo of my bedside radio alarm clock.
Something old
From Jezz's gifts to me that were something something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue... this was the something old... a beautifully displayed sixpence in a box.
Something new
From Jezz's gifts to me that were something something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue... this was the something new... fantastic and elegant silver cufflinks. The tubes unscrew to reveal a beautiful rolled message. The first one says H2B 06-11-21 which stands for Husband 2 Be and the other message: 2G4E+N4E+WWP which stands for Together Forever and Never Forever We Will Part.
Something borrowed
From Jezz's gifts to me that were something something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue... this was the something borrowed because it's a pebble from a beach and was returned after it had been die cast in silver and then engraved with 'You Are My Rock I love You.' Awe.
Something blue
From Jezz's gifts to me that were something something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue... this was the something blue... a gorgeous heart-shaped stunning blue crystal.
Parts of a cow sign
This metal sign Jezz and I bought together in a favourite shop in Westerham Village. The shop isn't there anymore but we bought a few items and this metal sign hangs above the range cooker.
'On The Air' Silver Mic
Another gift from Jezz, a tall retro mic with On The Air written above. He knows I love anything to do with On Air regalia because of my radio DJ days.
Rainbow Paperweight
I loved this when Jezz bought one for Andy. Then, unknown to me, Jezz arranged to get me one as a Christmas gift (2021).
Face mask
Jezz's homemade reversible face mask. It was the first garment that he made using his new sewing machine. (Saturday 9 April 2022).
Rainbow toy bag
Jezz made this drawstring rainbow bag for me. I chose the material from a fabric shop in Tooting and Jezz put it together with his sewing machine... his second project.
All-glass rainbow clock
Jezz bought me this beautiful clock made from glass. It hangs, proudly in my room.
Handmade rainbow hoop and tassel
Jezz ordered these handmade to order beautiful rainbow hoop and tassel. They're hanging in my room.
Name rings
Jezz and I ordered these engraved rings from etsy.com. They were available in gold, silver or black and we wear one each on our fourth finger on the right hand. May 2022.
Penis key ring and bottle opener
I don't know why, but my sister Amanda has this growing habit of buying me penis regalia. Knowing that I love all things rainbow, here's a rainbow-coloured bottle opener. Also, a penis-shaped key ring, made of.... yes, wood! Thanks, Da. May 2022
